I just noticed that your Specifications for 2015 have the R25SC dry weight 550 lbs greater than in prior years. The 2015 specs for the R27 have a similar weight gain. Is there something different about the glass layup, are you weighing them now with the addition of optional equipment that is normally added (autopilot, ground tackle?) but was not weighed before, is there something else different about the 2015 from the 2013 and 2014 that I have missed, or are you just using a more accurate scale? Interesting that the draft has not changed despite the weight gain.

The increase in stated weight numbers probably more accurately states the actual numbers

One possible reason for the change is the switch from Yanmar to Volvo. Not sure the weight difference , but the published weights were always a bit on the light side .

We weighed each model with normal equipment, small amount of fuel and water instead of actual dry weight to give closer numbers to the way our customers actually tow them.

No change in the way we build them! 😀
