What didn't you get that you wish you got on R25

We are looking at getting a honda 2000 generator or our R-27. How do you connect this equipment to your electrical system? Any help would be appreciated. Michael Regets

Michael,
It depends upon what you want the generator to do - supply AC power, charge your batteries, provide both AC and DC power - the possibilities are many. The simple way to go is to just plug into the generator what you want to power. The more practical thing is to install AC and DC buss bars and run things that way. I highly recommend you get a book on marine electrical wiring or pay someone to wire it for you. Marine wiring is different than house or auto wiring, and if you do not know what you are doing, you can cause big damage to your boat or passengers. The wiring is not difficult. You just have to know what you are doing. If you are handy with your hands, you can do it yourself with a good book. West Marine usually has some marine electrical books available.

Hi

We use a 2000 watt honda generator on our R27 and work great.
All you have to do is buy a adapter cable from out put of the generator 110 volt to
boat input power receptacle. Cost around $65.00 from any marine supply company
also you can but it from amazon.com (That where I bought ours adapter).
