What works on cleaning the walls?

Help over the years have tried lots of products to keep the (fuzzy White carpet like ) walls clean?
Any suggestions? The black stains from leaking are persistent .

We've found that fabric cleaner FOLEX (found in Home Depot) does a great job in cleaning the mouse fur when there are normal stains from leaks and such. We have not found anything that cleans the sooty, black stains. I have talked with the manufacturer of the mouse fur to no avail.

I use oxyclean and a wet-or-dry vacuum, looks ok.

Being careful I have used a diluted solution of Clorox hand applied with a sponge, let it sit and then wipe with a damp cloth. It has worked well. Do not let good clothes lean up against the walls. Any residual Clorox could cause bleach marks on the clothes.
