???????????????when to Bottom paint.????????????

Hello, I have a 2017 Ranger 27 Yahama 300 with a kicker I have 425 hrs so I take it out every two to three weeks I have my boat bottom cleaned every quarter. My boat is in the water 24/7 there is a freshwater stream that gets to my boat across from me....NOW my boat is five years old I get it taken out every year for service and the paint looks good the people that clean the bottom say I have 80% left OK OK what is the question for beep's sake. What is the longest timeline should someone go without redoing the bottom paint with an outboard 300 go ?????

I saw a red r27-OB (2020 model) that sat in freshwater for several years, original bottom paint. They had no growth on the bottom. I took photos of the bottom. Through the bottom paint you could see tiny holes of red paint. (It was a red boat with black bottom paint).

If you can see your hull thru the bottom paint I’d have it done.

I redid my own boats bottom paint last year. I had 3 seasons on it, in brackish water moored 24/7. I could feel the slime along the hull. Visually it looked fine. I also have a covered slip which helps a lot at preventing growth.
