Has anyone mounted a read shower wand in the back of their C28?

Any thoughts where is the best place to mount?

I was thinking of removing an existing cup holder that is on port side of rear seat and place it on there. The downside is the hose will drop onto the floor inside the cockpit.

This is the unit I purchased. Can be mounted straight or on angle.

Any thoughts?

I mounted a different style shower on my Cutwater. The shower head you have selected should work in the location I selected if mounted on a angle. The hose lays on a transom support above trim tab pump.

The hose is locates on transom support.

Excellent.

Where did you tap off for the hot and cold lines?

I tapped in to the cold and hot water lines coming off hot water heater. I used tee fittings.

I was getting ready to do something similar to BB Marine as the is a super clean install. I then wondered if I can get a 6 ft extension to my cockpit sink hose to reach to the platform. Richard sent me a link to a replacement hose so I am going to order one and simply add it. Will report back on how it goes.

Interesting. That would be a lot easier. Let me know.

Yes please report back! I bought the whale and had the same idea ended up returning it as while it would work I didn't think it would look great.

I would rather do what Brian has done but will save that for when I have more time so an extension would be great in the meantime.

It seems the only length that Fawcett Marine carries is 5 ft. Long story short there not a coupler that works. So I got a referral to Scandvik at 772-567-2877 and they have a 13 ft length for about the same price (roughly $35). It is a chrome colored nylon vs metal but simply replaces the existing one and good to go. The 13 ft is plenty to reach our swim platform. They also carry a 20 ft although since I didn’t need that much and it would all have to coil under the sink Anyway I didn’t inquire further. A rare inexpensive solution for sure.

Thanks for the update. Do you have the part number on hand by chance?

Item number 14353 Hose 13’ nylon/chrome 15/1-3/8” BSP. I do not have a link. Just call to order.
