Maybe RT can take a cue from this.... Maybe the new R-21 can/could be named R-21EP (EP for Electric Power) 😉

This is very cool …. https://lilium.com & https://lilium.com/press/#investors

Have a look at this. The vertical takeoff is awesome. It's a German outfit working with electric aircraft. Interesting, but I feel we will need better batteries to make this really work. Google Uber etc are apparently all working on similar concepts. There could be interesting times ahead in this area of design. Maybe Boeing/Lockheed/RT skunk works are keeping their efforts secret ???? 😱

It has 36 engines. 😎

Have you seen the Greenline hybrid cruisers. They've delivered a lot of boats, around the world, since 2009.

Bruce.... Thanks. That certainly is a start for integrating electrical powered cruising..... 6 kts for 20 miles on electric motor is a starting point. 🙂

Take a look in the "photos" section, in the album "Aura".

It's a "Martini" electric boat. Built as an electric harbor cruiser (like the Duffy Electric) and utilizing a Ranger R21 hull.
