Our friend and dock neighbor, Jim Wood (Nordic Tug 32 - "Why Knot"), has been a contributing author to Nor'westing Magazine for the past 10 years. Recently, Jim has decided to share his stories on his own brand new blog.

As winter sets in, and we spend more time thinking and reading about boating than we spend actually boating, you may enjoy reading some of his stories and recollections.

Hello Bruce:

Thanks for sharing the information about Jim Wood and his new blog. How are you enjoying your new R29? We've got our R27 in storage in Tennessee ( one month ago ) and are really looking forward to getting back to cruising in January. By then you'll probably be ready for your first oil change!

My brother was stationed on the Sacramento so I forwarded the site info to him.
So much larger than the minesweeper I was stationed on during Vietnam.

Hi Jim - we're loving our new Moondance. Still stowing and making her ours. Hope to get out this week. And, yes, 50 hours by January is a good goal.

Thanks for checking Jim's blog.

Cheers,

Bruce
