Why do I have this breaker? The windless dash and foot switches work whether it’s on or off. Lewmar schematics don’t show a 10A breaker or switch. Is it for a wireless transmitter for a remote? Which I wasn’t on board when I purchased the boat.

Thanks,

A 10 amp breaker would definitely not be for the windless. There should be a separate blue seas breaker located near the helm of some other spot for the windless. It could very well be a spare breaker that is mislabeled. Or it could be a breaker for something else and it is mislabeled. You could do one of two things, turn everything on and turn the breaker off and see what my go off or, pull the panel and see if any wires are coming off the breaker. If wires are coming off the breaker they are going somewhere and it could be that they are dead ended at some point for future use. One never knows what Ranger may have done on a given day.

The label looks like an owner add on in the picture you posted on Facebook. It may have been for the receiver for a wireless remote to control the windlass.

I agree. Unfortunately when I talked to one of the boats POS, he did not know what it was for because he never anchored.
I was not provided with a wireless remote when I purchased the boat and that owner had limited knowledge of the boat.

Where would a wireless transmitter likely be mounted?
