Not much on this forum about those who have tinted their windows. I did some research and talked to a few tinting companies, seems like the best product is the Autobahn i3 Ceramic. I'm not trying to darken up the windows, just reflect UV and heat to protect the interior and cool it down. I decided on the i3 Ceramic 56, which has a slight tint and allows for great visibility and heat reflection.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Yep had mine tinted fist year we had the boat. The windshield is pretty big on ours and it really helps on hot days. Mine is basically considered a 100% UV but clear (maybe only 10% actual tint if I recall. There is a slight rainbow effect with my polarized glasses but nothing that bothers me. We also run a night a fair amount and there is a hint of a reflection back inside when compared to no tint. Again nothing I worry about and the trade off for the 100% UV protection is worth it to us.

While it is tempting to go with a darker tint especially for bright/hot climates I suspect each of the items about might be amplified so think twice especially if you are considering running at night. Good luck!

By just tenting the top portion of the windshield you will reduce the light transmission early in the morning and late afternoon when it is most likely to impair your vision, and will not impair your vision for nite time boating. A easy DIY up grade that's easy and inexpensive! It will not block all the UV rays from entering the boat but is better than none. Bob

Thought I would provide a review after installing the AutoBahn i3 Ceramic 56 window tint. After 2 months, the Cabin is much cooler and the visibility is great. No neg effects on night time ops. I installed a Ruuvi Tag to monitor the inside temp using my Victron CerboGx. The temp rarely heats above 90 degrees with shades open and AC off with no windows open. I rank this among the best upgrades so far. (AutoGlide,CerboGx,400W Solar and Sionyx Nightwave)
