Window Treatment - Huper Optik

Anyone install window film such as Huper Optik, how did it work out? Looking at doing this to reduce heat and glare.

I have been thinking of doing the same thing - though I was looking at a more local/DIY solution using the Gila Window Films from Home Depot/Lowe's:

It says not for use on plastic/plexiglass windows, but I believe the roof hatches in the v-berth & main cabin are tempered glass so it's OK?
