Windows: Excessive Friction

It never ends - the windows are getting pretty hard to slide open - esp front port and starboard front ones, so hard that when closing port this owner put so much pressure on it the “glued” on handle decided to let go…. I know there are some I’ve setting glue for rear view mirrors and such ….

More interested in ideas for decreasing the effort in opening and closing - not in the mood to replace channel felt - was thinking about shooting some dry lube in ….the kind you use for sail slugs

What Admiral said, plus anytime you use the boat in salt water (or even let it sit for a period of time), rinse, rinse, rinse with fresh water to prevent salt build up. Finally, make sure all the little track drains are clear and not clogged. Each window has 2 or more. You should be able to poke a stiff wire down into the track at each location and see it protrude out the side. HTH, Gary
