My R27 has 2 windows that stick. It feels like there is a mechanical problem. Like the window is physically prevented from opening by a piece of metal. Once I force it open, it seems to function properly until the next day. I can't see anything that could catch the corner. Has anyone experienced this? Can something be removed and chamfered? It definitely feels like a physical restriction and not a tight fit.

Which windows ? If they are the forward ones, especially the port side one adjacent to Nav seat then this is a Ranger Tug's tradition. 😉 Do a search on this forum and you should find how people have resolved this issue.

The latching mechanism is a frequent culprit on our R-29. We used the same liquid rollers spray that we use on the trailer bunks. Spray it generously on the tracks, both sides. We have found that we need to press on the forward edge of the latch while pulling the aft end outward.

Several of the windows on our R27 stick. They can be very stubborn. What has worked for us -- without fail -- is to close the windows ever so gently. We do that by sliding the window closed until just before it snaps in and locks. At that point, we squeeze it closed gently until the frame latches. When we go to open it, it's easy, as long as we have closed it softly.

The suggestion to close them that way was in an earlier thread on this forum, and it has been a solution for us with all the windows. But it requires remembering to close them that way. It is easy to reflexively slide them closed with too much force.

I did look at the previous thread. Thanks for that info. It seems to me the port side front window is an issue. If you close it softly and it does not stick, maybe the track is too short? There has to be some kind of mechanical edge or something? I will eventually find it and I will post the results. This is a great forum! I really appreciate all the responses.

Good luck Chester! Lots of us will be interested if you gain some new insights on the issue.
