Windshield glare

Maybe it's because I only boat in sunny weather, but windshield glare can be a real problem for me. I assume the vertical windshield of the R-23 would be much less prone to glare than the C-24 with its steeply angled windshield. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't think the angle of the windshield makes all that much difference. It's funny all cars I think have sun visors that you can flip down or to the side in severe sunlight. Like heading east in the morning or west in the afternoon. I'm thinking about heading to the junk yard and trying to locate a decent looking sun visor or two. Failing that a trip to babies r us for a pull down sun glare shield that would be adaptable to our boat. It's a problem for sure sometimes even with wearing sunglasses.

Sloping windscreens are subject to glare when the angle of the sun is just so. My previous trawler had an exterior sun visor of about 6". It helped but there was still considerable glare under certain conditions. I would fit an exterior visor; of dark plexiglass or even sunbrella. The Portuguese bridge, ie reverse slope to the windscreen works best. The tugs vertical glass screen is almost as good.
