Windshield replacement

Yesterday while having the boat washed the person doing it was on the side deck of our 29 CB and slipped and grabbed on to the Venturi windshield for support and broke it after the first attachment point near the helm. He is fine and did not fall but the windshield cracked all the way through it needs to be replaced. I ordered a new one it looks like a fairly simple swap out. Has anyone done this or have any tips to either make it easier or lessons learned?

I presume the factory is sending you a new one. Whenever we transported the boat I removed the windscreen out of an abundance of caution. The swap too minutes as long as you don't drop the screws overboard. It bends right into place. Start on one side and attache the end piece and it all bends into place. Only issue might be that you have to drill holes for the screws on the new one. Just slip it into place, mark and drill.

Again, of all the things you do on the boat, this one falls into the easy category. Good luck!
