Winter Projects Completed

Has anyone installed the Mantus anchor guard on a R25OB with a Rocna anchor? I’m wondering if the bow roller needs to be moved forward to accommodate the longer shaft of the Rocna vs the standard claw anchor? Any first hand experience from a R25OB owner?

For an RT-27 OB... with the Anchor Guard from Mantus marine...
The original bow roller bolt is 3/8" x 4", course thread. You'll need to replace it with a 4.75" or 5" stainless bolt.

The mantus anchor guard is 3/8" thick, so I found that a 4 1/2" bolt was good even with the washers I added. You might have a different bow setup, mine is a 2020 27ob.

Also found that the hole in the guard is 5/8" for a 3/8" bolt so I found a nylon bushing at my local hardware store to take out some of the slop.

Our list for Winter 2021 is as follows:

* Re-wired the port lazarette to clean up my bus bar install and facilitate installation of LFP.
* Upgraded the house battery bank to 320Ah total (240ah usable) LiFEPo4 single battery.

Oh, and purchased a Takacat 260LX and ePropulsion Spirit 1.0+. Good combination for our R-23. The Takacat fits in the center cockpit locker and they ePropulsion slides into the cave.
