Winterize engine

I have a Volvo penta diesel engine in my R27. Can I winterize the engine with solutions containing ethyl alcohol?

My Marina won't use antifreeze with alcohol. It can be flammable and is not good with some rubber material. I had to replace the joker valve in the head of my previous boat one spring because I tried to save $ and use the inexpensive RV antifreeze instead of the Propylene Glycol.

Ethyl alcohol is a flammable liquid and also very aggressive towards various metals, rubbers and plastics.

Winterizing solutions contain propylene glycol (pink) or ethylene glycol (green).
