Appears to be two schools of thought on winterizing the water system on the R27OB out of the water on a trailer.
1. Run the system dry and drain all systems, filters etc.
2. Drain the system and then blow it out with a compressor.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

i’ve got an R25 OB that lives on a trailer during winter in New England. I’m in the camp of draining and using RV antifreeze in every water system including potable water tank. Yeah I have to flush it multiple times in the spring but have used this approach on a couple of different boats including my RT now for several winters snd it works for me.

My 27 OB (LE version) is also in New England and I winterized using RV antifreeze. I don't trust gravity draining and I don't have a compressor. I drained the water heater, but reconnected the tubing before flushing the whole fresh water system with the antifreeze.( I didn't have the hardware to connect the input and output tubing, which would have save several gallons of antifreeze). I used 12 gallons of antifreeze to winterize the fresh water system (including all three sinks and shower head), generator, reverse cycle AC, head (toilet and shower sump), holding tank (including macerator), aft bilge pump, and raw water wash down. This being my first year with the R27, I made a checklist and tried not to miss anything.

Like John@SeaHoss, I will flush the freshwater system several times in the spring, but I will also add bleach to sanitize the water system, before multiple flushes to clear the taste and odor of antifreeze and bleach.
