I'm winterizing my engine today and put about 2.5 gallons of RV antifreeze into the engine via strainer as recommend. When I did this last year I can't remember how much I used, just waited to see some antifreeze come out the exhaust, now I wonder how much really is enough? Any suggestions?

That is about what I have used in the past and had no issues. It will be interesting to see what other opinion are out there.

For the 180HP the mechanic at my dealer suggested 4 gallons.

As long as the engine seacock is shut 2.5 gallons should be enough.
