I started the job myself but soon found out I would need help. Took a professional 1.25 hours with my assistance. The motor burned up not because of wiring issues but no loctite on the threads of the screws holding the insides together. One screw simply unseated getting pinned against the moving arm. I will ask Imtra if they consider this a manufacturing defect.

I am going to have to tackle this job soon myself. Where did you run into difficulty with the removal/replacement?

Does anyone have a procedure they can recommend?

Imtra's are hard to repair. Some parts are spot-welded together. If your shaft gets difficult to move, there is no way to tear them down and re-lube them. Planned obsolescence.

I had the same issue with my 2015 C30. I contacted IMTRA and they agreed to have me send them my motor for inspection and found the same issue you discovered. They did send me a new motor at no charge. I was told that the new motor is of a design that will not have internal components come loose.
