Wiper Springs

Ok , so I thought I had to replace the wipers , and I did all 4 , however looks like water still is not being wiped away .
I bent the arms a bit closer to the window , and noticed that the springs are weak and wont make full contact with the windows.

can someone point me to where I can buy new springs for the wipers we have on the r25 style boats ?

Long and short of it don't waste your time or money. Use Rain-X and you will have better results. I replaced my arms with premium arms from Imtra. Although better than the stock arms and much easier to remove and fiddle with, for the money Rain-X is your best bet.

My springs were also "weak". However, upon close inspection, I realized that the springs were fine. What was really going on was the pivots were all bound up with salt and just about frozen. Some WD40 and brisk exercise for the pivots really made a big difference.

I'm not a fan of just keep applying Band-Aids to make me feel better , I would rather fix the problem .

Tried the Rain-x and I'm a fan . but I paid for wipers ... what I'm not a fan of is paying for stuff I cannot use.
Its like telling the factory deduct 400 dollars for the wiper motors or however much they cost , and however much for the labor , because rain-ex is better.

It works good for 1 day of boating then reapply .

That's what I was going to try , I was wondering if CLR would help remove that crap around the springs and pivots , spray with WD 40 to clean away gunk , then douse it with some good grease to keep them protected.

Perhaps I was not clear in my post. What I was alluding to was that no matter what you purchase or do, the salt accumulation in the knuckle is what seems to be the culprit. So you are going to have to regularly maintain the knuckle. Perhaps not as often as applying Rain-X, but you will have to do something.
