Andrew, You ask for input on suggestions for improving the wiring. I wanted to hook up a 12 volt TV. The fuse block on the door behind the helm has a nice fuse block, but you don't run a ground to the negative side. It is tough to get to the grounding bus bar behind the breaker switch box now. I could not get the box out, It would have been so easy when under construction. I think there were three open spots for putting in a fuse and running a hot wire from it, but without the ground side being wired it became a pain to find a good spot to get to ground behind the dash. It would only take 1 ft of white wire to save future owners a lot of work.
It would not hurt to put a 12 volt connect block up in the overhead. Every owner sooner or later will add something up there that needs power. When you guys do it the wiring never shows
Food for thought
