Workshop: Comfortable Cruising In Smaller Boats

We are pleased to announce that we will hosting a two-day workshop in Everett, WA called Comfortable Cruising In Smaller Boats. This is intended for boaters who want to feel more comfortable and confident while cruising. This is specifically tailored for Ranger and Cutwater owners. There are two workshops scheduled: April 26 and 27 and again on June 14 and 15.

We will use our experiences on the Great Loop, the Inside Passage, the Salish Sea, and the historic canals in Canada and New York State to cover useful and practical topics including boat handling skills, information & decision making, galley and storage, and maintenance and repairs. If we have not met you, we have had 3 Ranger Tugs for a total 10 years and have over 30 years of boating experience. We are full-time cruisers and John is a licensed Captain. We love to share and instruct and John also does on-the-water instruction.

We love boating and remember well how we started and all the mistakes that we made. Our personal mission is help boaters find their own adventure and being more comfortable and confident while cruising, lets the adventure happen. That is why we do this workshop and speak at boat shows and rendezvous.

Though we are based in Puget Sound and do our cruising on the Salish Sea from Olympia, Washington to Campbell River, British Columbia, we are open to the idea of doing this workshop elsewhere. We would need a local organizer and a large enough room. The numbers would have to make sense. We are cruising the Chesapeake Bay in May, if that is an option.
