Does anyone have an R-29 or R-31 here on the Sunshine Coast of BC who would be willing to let us look inside? My wife and I are searching for a pocket-cruiser in British Columbia. We finally got inside a Ranger Tug R27 yesterday which was for sale and we loved it, but we are wondering if a larger model would be a better fit. If you even have a half an hour to spare to let us see what it looks like in an R-29 or R-31 we would greatly appreciate it.

I'm probably far too south, but if you are ever in the Bellingham area I have a 2015 R31 CB you could take a look at

Your best plan is to call Dave Turner at Port Boart House in Port Alberni. He has all of those on site for you so go on. Size feels much bigger between a 27 and 29, and more upscale. 31 feels bigger still but with less efficiency.

Make sure you have e a slip that will fit any of these boats. 27 slips are not impossible to find but 29 and up and not readily available, here anyway.

Thanks for the advice. We are going to look at at 29 in Vancouver, and if we like the format then book a day either in Sidney or Port Alberni.

I have a 2022 RT31CB in N Saanich you could look at.

Having spent time on the R27 OB and 29 My thought is that each has signicant considerations over the other. How long do you plan to be away, how many on Board, time constraints etc, We have no problem traveling on our R27 and have more than enough room and amenities. Time away would not be a consideration for two and for some others even three. Many folks do the loop on the 25 classic for two and do very well.

Of course we have all been through "Two-foot-itis" (or 2-foot-itis) is a widely recognized, humorous term in boat ownership that describes the insatiable urge to upgrade to a boat that is at least two feet longer than one’s current vessel.
