Hi there. I have a 2020 R27OB. It is new to me. Had our first overnight and the propane detector fuse blew. The Xintex manual says that it takes a 2 amp fuse but it had a 1 amp installed and was labelled as such. All i had was a 3 amp fuse but I am feeling the need to replace it again with either the 1 amp size that blew or go with a 2 amp. Please let me know what you suggest. If 3 amp is safe I could also just leave it alone. Please advise. Steve

Hi Steve,

I would stick with what was put in. If the 2 Amp is the original fuse, I would stay with that. Not sure what engineering's rationale was for changing it from a 1 Amp, but if they did change that, it was for a reason. However, I would stay within those limits. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ralf

Thank you Ralf. I will put a 1 amp back and go to a 2 amp if it happens again soon. Have a good day. Steve

Fuse size depends on unit protection requirements and wire size going to the appliance. If the manual stated 2 amp then the wire provided should have been the appropriates size for 2 amp or better. One amp may have blown because it is too low for the draw.

Thank you for that. I did buy 1's and 2's. Will try the 1 again and step up to 2 if it blows again. Cheers

Hi all,

I found this thread while looking through the forum for troubleshooting info. on the Xintex propane fume & solenoid system. The Xintex Owners Manual shows a 1.0 amp fuse from the circuit breaker to the Display Unit (the smaller fuse panel in the electrical cabinet in the mid-berth [2019 R29 CB NW], but says a 2 amp fuse is needed between the Display Unit and the Solenoid Valve. Have any of you come across the 2 amp fuse between the Display Unit and solenoid? If so, where is yours located?
