looking to get a custom mattress pad for our new to us rangern 29 thanks, steveandtina [ proud attendees of rondivues #1 and #2

I can highly recommend them. The mattress is superb! (and fitted sheets are great, and even their throw pillows are very nice). Would definitely do again.

They have a page with RT examples here: https://www.yachtbedding.com/ranger-tugs/

However, I would suggest not to get one thing: their comforter. It fits beautifully and looks nice, but I personally think it is uncomfortable for sleeping; doesn't breathe well and falls off the bed easily. IMO a regular "down alternative" comforter is more practical and comfortable. Otherwise it strongly exceeded our expectation.

It's crazy expensive, but completely worth it. We've had ours for a year and a half now and love it all (with exception of the "fitted" sheet you sleep under: it is strangely cut and never seems to be in the right place and is DEFINITELY too short to tuck in so it stays put...but, having said that, you definitely need the fitted mattress sheet that goes onto the mattress, and since you'll have to buy the set, you cannot omit it)

Gotta disagree with the previous post tho: We LOVE the bedspread (cant remember what they call it). When the bed is all made, it makes the cabin look really sharp. We wouldn't be without it. WE DO agree that it'll slide down a lot if you use it as a cover while sleeping.

Our absolute opinion: DO NOT buy the blanket. It is completely unnecessary: WE have a synthetic queen blanket from Costco the fits it perfectly for $20.

Bed is super comfortable with mattress topper.

Again, a LOT of $$$, but completely worth it!

100% agree with b&jsrubiconii

we are only sorry we waited so long. the bedspread really finishes it off look wise. we don't use it other than "for show".

FWIW, I just ordered a mattress for the cave on our C-28. A 48"x80", 6" thick mattress was $439 and I added a fitted sheet for $69. I just received it so can't speak to the comfort yet, but we're heading out for a several day cruise later this month and I can update with feedback. This was a custom size order. They will also do the odd shapes to fit v-berths, or anything else. The link for the custom builder is https://www.mattressinsider.com/custom-mattress-builder.html.

I have to laugh at my own 'nerdiness" on this topic. When I think of bedding, I think about the sealing of the hardware interface to decking using a caulk compound like 3M 5200 or Sikaflex or whatever .... when I saw Yacht Bedding I jumped in and read a couple of the entries before I realized I was playing in the wrong playground! BUT - the information contained herein, with regard to VBerth mattress and sheets and all of that was something the First Mate (OK, the ONLY mate!) had been researching .... THANK YOU for getting MY attention, and then having something for me to pass onto the Boss. Just thought you folks might get a laugh out of 'perspective". Fair Winds and Following Seas ..... Doug
