It should fit either side of the solar panel, can open either side, and the spread is easily adjustable.
We use the previous model, Yakima Skybox Pro 12, but is has the same specs as the carbonite.
Wincrasher just installed a carbonite on his 27 and looks great.

I have the same one , I have a R25 and a solar panel as well. Make sure you coat the key latches with some WD40 every so often. they will corrode if your in Salt Water.
