Yamaha 2.5 issues -

Let me throw this one out there - I was not there - I can only refer to my SIL and his discription, Last use by me was fine - motor stated fine and ran fine -

No SIL call me and says motor is locked, What? Told me engine was hard to start - it did start, they ran about a mile before engine stalled and at that point - could not be started because the starter chord was frozen

Ok I dont know 4 stroke outboards but frozen is NO BUENO to me - Face time video showed oil was clear and at proper level. NO smell of anything burnt,,,,

Help me figure this out... plug not pulled yet

Make sure the air vent on the gas tank is open.
Make sure the fuel shutoff valve is open.

Either of those being shut, it’ll start and won’t go very far before it dies.
