Yamaha 300hp gauge on a 2025 R27

Can someone explain to me how the Yamaha engine gauge gets its fuel quantity reading? I still have dealer loaded fuel on board and would like to know if its a float type sensor or if the dealer had to program something into the gauge to make the readings accurate. I am just trying to figure out if I could trust whats on the boat now or I need to fill it up and program some information into the gauge to get more accurate readings. Thanks!

I believe the yamaha gauge is on a float. The garmin system you manually enter either filled up or fuel added. But my suggestion would be to get a flashlight and look down at the tank and confirm the level visually. The lower levels are hard to see down in the compartment, but if you can't see any fuel then I would suggest adding some before taking a voyage.
