Talked to Andrew today about this.
Andrew had already taken action and had discussed the issue with Yanmar. Yanmar's response was that it's OK for the two smaller O-rings to be replaced only after some 3 to 4 oil filter changes. Andrew indicated he had told Yanmar that Ranger Tug was receiving the oil filter boxed part without the two smaller O-rings -- and how come, as the Yanmar Service Manual clearly states the two small O-rings should be replaced with along with a new filter? Yanmar has acknowledged the issue and has made an order to their supplier (in Italy according to Andrew) to get a fresh new supply of the smaller O-rings and will then send Ranger Tugs a bunch of missing O-rings. Andrew will notify us when the smaller O-rings have arrived.
