(ranger 21ec) I recently could not restart the yanmar3yn30 the next day , after much checking i found a blocked vent line from fuel tank (it bled ok bot not enough fuel to start engine) it runs great again, Also it will only turn up 3100 rpm in nuterial . All sugestions welcom. --- don l

Easy one first, have you checked the throttle cables lately? Sometimes these can get out of adjustment not allowing enough throw. I would start there and work your way back the fuel system. As Marc said, fuel filters, fuel lines and then injectors. How many hours do you have on the engine and are you running any additives for the fuel system?
Sometimes and easy way to rule out the filters is simply to bypass them on this engine. Get a seperate bucket of diesel and run the feed hose off of the engine directly to this "clean" bucket of diesel and see if it gets rpm. That will eliminate the possibility of filters without having to replace them.
