After running for about 2 hours the engine goes into safe mode/limp mode, will not build boost, check engine alarm sounds- no other alarms- my i5601e has an older version of firmware it does not display the individual P codes.

Ive read a couple posts from Ladybug Too that had a lightning strike, they thought the fuel rail sensor was an issue or the connection to the sensor.

Can the Yanmar be connected to a OBD2, and where is the connector?

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Yes, the 6BY260 can be connected to an OBD2 scanner. I think I posted a connector modification description. I have since found that not all of the installed "deutsch" connectors are the same on the engines. I will try to find that thread and post it here. Do not be surprised at the fuel pressures as they are in the thousands of psi range. The scanner worked well and provided a description of the P codes. If you download the ECM service manual the conditions allowing "limp" mode are described and that would at least narrow your search for the problem.
