I saw a Yeti power station lithium battery at Costco today
Kind of pricey, but on first look, it seems like a good source for 120 volts on an R23
Weighs 40 pounds, and can be charged from 120 v outlets, solar cells, or 12v outlets
Does anyone use one of these ?

Hi Ernie,

I suppose that depends on what you want to use it for. Did your boat not come with an inverter?

no inverter on my boat

Then it pretty much depends on what you're going to be using it for, and if you have a need for portability between the boat and someplace else. It certainly won't run a portable AC unit, or a hair dryer for very long, for example. I don't think you have much to worry about from a quality/reliability perspective, tho.

Personally I think a lithium battery bank along with an inverter/charger would be a much better investment, but that's quite a bit more money.

Thanks for the opinions. I’m just wondering if someone has used one of these units.
After a brief search I couldn’t find a 1000wh battery for less than the cost of the yeti. The yeti holds an inverted and charger, which might make it a bargain. Pricey bargain, I know.
