Just finally getting Blue Dragonfly ready for the water after a long winters nap; (Alberta winters) Starts easily as usual (on trailer using bucket of water method) Oil Pressure light stays on! Checked oil levels in both engine and sail drive, no change. Levelled trailer to make sure fluid levels weren't being affected, still no change, except light stays on but alarm goes out after initial start. Maybe just too frustrated to think well….new oil, new filters…. I'm hoping someone might recognize something I'm forgetting in this process, thinking I might have to drain and refill just to cover all bases…Anyone?

Have you tried rebooting the engine by disconnecting/reconnecting its battery? That solved a problem I had after a long winter when the VP display proclaimed that it couldn't detect a transmission attached to the engine and actually refused to even attempt to engage in gear. I went so far as to visually check to be sure the transmission hadn't wandered off before I tried the cold boot.

haha, my gawd. if you’ve seen the netflix movie, ‘the 100’ it will make you cringe at where we are going with all this... 🙂

Finally resolved my 3YM30 oil pressure light issue by changing the sender, not once but twice! You just don't expect to receive a faulty replacement, now do you? Thanks for the input!
