I am a new owner of a 29 Ranger Tug. I am trying to change my generator zinc. I West Marine gave me one that bottomed out before I could finish screwing it in. Onan says that there is no zinc for that generator. The zinc screws into the cooling system behind the raw water impeller. Any suggestions?

How could you be changing a zinc on your genset if the OEM indicates there aren’t any zincs to replace? I’m also a new R29 owner with a Onan genset.

You could cut the new zinc with a hack saw to the length that it fits. My Mase genset has a zinc.
