Port Light Trim Ring Replacement

Lost half of one of my port light trims. Snapped in half in front of the two leading mounting screws. Did locate the Beckson replacement on the AppSheet parts list (thanks guys!).

Is there a recommended adhesive and any advice for making all three of them a little less susceptible to this failure? I noticed the leading edges of the remaining trims are also separated from the adhesive and would like to reseat all of them while I’m at it.

Here you go. Seems to be somewhat of a common failure of the plastic trim.

You’ll need to clean off all the excess sealant and lightly rough up the surface with 220-grit sandpaper. Then use SikaFlex 291 (black) as the sealer. Once the trim is installed, I also recommend adding a few more screws to secure it properly.

I’ll send you a picture showing how we do it. If you could email a good shipping address, I’ll send you some replacement trim pieces for the ones that are broken.

Thank you Jared. Appreciate the advice. I like the suggestion to add a screw to the sides of the trim.

No need to send the part as I already have a replacement from the Mfg. I sincerely appreciate the offer though.
