I have e 2008 R-25 Classic with the Mast mount which fols to Port for Trailer or Low Bridges. It is challenging from the narrow deck at the end of the bow rail.

I am seriously considering moving it forward like the 2009 and newer vessels. I grew up fabricating sailing rigging.

Can anyone please post any Pictures of the newer setup?
A top down view with Mast folded would be great!

My 2012 R27 has a forward folding mast. I will be putting it on its trailer this week and can photograph it if nobody else posts the photos you need beforehand.

The proposed project seems to be fairly involved. A hinge will have to be welded forward and a support rod will have to be fabricated and installed on the bow.

Ok - I removed the Mast Base Plate. Took measurements to record fore and aft, and side offsets from center line.
As.Casper indicated folding forward introduces extra fabrication. I believe that I will just reinstall the current side folding set-up as far forward as feasible.
I would still appreciate any photos of a 2009 side folding, or even newer forward folding models.

Could you post the measurements you took?

Thank you

Here are photos of the folding mast on my 2012 R27. To convert from side folding to this forward folding arrangement would be an involved project.

The mast base looking from port before folding. It also shows wiring going to the mast.

Mast folded forward showing support arm that will have to be added to bow. A corresponding clevis fitting for the support arm will have to be sourced and added to the mast. Fittings will have to be added to facilitate securing the guy wires in the forward folded position.

Wow! Thanks for sharing these great pictures.
Due to the difference in the shape of the forward part of the Smokestack Assembly I won't be doing the forward folder..
However I am going to relocate the side folder forward. She's currently covered up here in the great white North. Parts are sitting at the ready!

Hi!
I completed the Mast Move. Left it folding to Port. Moved it 29.5" forward. Relocating the Horn slightly aft. Extending the assorted wires as needed.
I have a picture, but server doesn't like the size?

I hated that design from day one. After first season with the boat(bought used in 2015) I moved the radome off the mast and mounted it on a pedestal farther forward. The reduced weight allowed removal of the stays. Still didn't like dealing with the mast. So a couple of years ago I finally replaced it with a 48in fiberglass antenna extension on a folding base mounted on same baseplate. I can just reach it to put it up and down without climbing on the roof. I'm finally content with it.
