Hi Folks,

Trying to solve a pesky leak that appears obvious in the photos as coming from the stbd side wiper. Tried to tighten the exterior nut with a special slim wrench and got a little tightening action but without removing the "brow" very difficult to get to. Anyone have a similar problem and solution? Also looking for a matching stain or retail product (we are in SW Florida currently) to repair the drip damage and also the damage to the helm wood in an otherwise pristine interior? Thanks in advance.

We had a leak last summer that would drip down from the cubbies above the dash. It was difficult to track to the source. Water can travel a long ways and exit from places that have nothing to do with the entry point. In our case it appears the water was entering via the Radar dome wires and traveling down those wire into the cubbies and then traveling across to the lowest point before exiting. I sealed the wire entry point on the Radar exterior connector with a lot of 5200 and that seems to have done the job. In short I wouldn’t assume the water is coming from the windshield wiper post unless you can actually confirm that as the entry point. If it is the wiper post you will likely have to remove the wiper motor assembly and post and rented it in 5200 or something similar.

On our stain just sanded the area good and used wipe on polyurethane. Came out great. If the wood is unfinished teak use teak oil instead.
