2017 C28 Muffler Replacement

I'm replacing a leaky Centek muffler on my 2017 C28. The existing exhaust hoses have brown adhesive where they are connected to the in and out ports of the muffler. Do I need to reapply this adhesive before clamping them on to the new muffler, and if so, what exactly is this adhesive and where can I get some?

Hello,

The adhesive was something we had started using a few years back. It is not necessary and I believe that as long as you make sure the clamps are positioned and secured properly, they will not leak or come loose. If you really want the adhesive, you’re welcome to email our parts department and we would be happy to send you some.
