I replaced my aft bilge pump (Rule 110 GPH 27SA) last season when it stopped automatically cycling, and anticipate needing to replace my forward bilge pump soon. I can hear the forward bilge pump cycling every 3-5 minutes, but cannot figure out how to get to the bilge mounting bracket and wiring. Could someone explain how I can get access to the forward bilge pump in order to replace it? Thank you.

Same issue exists on the R29. Really makes you wonder who designed that pump location given the need to replace those automatic pumps somewhat frequently. (Our rear pump auto feature also failed.) If they really needed that location, they should have mounted it on a removable bracket that you could reach access to. I am thinking when our forward one fails it is going to be replaced with a mounting on a custom removable bracket of some type.

Good idea. If you do, don’t forget to add accommodation for the high (bilge) water alarm located in the same spot. Ours failed last year, same problem trying to access it!

If you look online or if you have a spare in your hand you will see that squeezing the blue "buttons" will release the pump from the "filter/mounting bracket" then the pump and wiring can be swung to the side to service/replace.
