2026 C248 Koolair Pump Location

Greetings.
The AC unit on 2026 Cutwater will very often not start the Koolair Pump OR when the pump does activate, it will often be followed by vibrations in the condensor area in the cabin causing the system to shut down.

Could the KoolAIr pump be installed too high causing air bubbles from the water filter ? Or is there another potential issue to check?

I often have to unscrew the filter to get the pump to prime and activate as well as restart the entire AC unit. Oddly this happens more often while at dock, not underway.

Hi there,

You may have a slight obstruction in the pickup, between it and the strainer. The additional force of the water being pushed into the pickup by boat movement seems to be making the difference here, as the pumps easily prime themselves even when dry. Hope this helps get you started.
