Every boat an RV I’ve owned in the past has a two position flush for the toilet one allows you to fill the bowl partway and two the others is to flush the toilet. My new Cutwater has only flush mode. You hit the switch the pump comes on water goes through the toilet and out the drain, but there’s no way to partly fill the toilet with raw water.So the only way to add water to the toilet before you do your business is to use the tap with the shower handle and fill it with freshwater. The problem with that is I carry a limited amount of freshwater so using what precious water I carry to flush the toilet when I’ve got an ocean full seems kind of silly. The other problem is you end up with water dripping from the showerhead which just adds more work cleaning that up. I don’t know if I’m missing something here or if that’s just the design of the system and if it is, is there a solution or a fix to allow me to use raw water to fill the toilet? I thought of putting a ball valve on the drain line that I could close to fill the bowl partway and then open it to empty. But I don’t know if that will cause a problem with the operation of the system.
