A Northwest Ranger Rendezvous?

Minnow Rouge makes it 17 confirmed vessels for the first annual PNW Redezvous!

The navy museum that Joe speaks of is within a ten minute walk of the marina for anyone that is interested.

Fernando and Sunny Martinez will be attending the gathering aboard their new Ranger R29 Blessings. They will be coming down from Everett. Two adults

Wow! We are now up to 18 confirmed vessels! Five more that had said they want to attend however are awaiting to confirm and three more possibles for a total of 26 possible attendees!

If you are planning to attend and are not on the confirmed list please do so no later than Monday the 18th. However, we will gladly make room for any other vessel that shows up! The more the merrier!

If you do not have a photo album set up with a picture of your vessel in it, please email me a picture of your vessel at davidbakermdbs@aol.com.

Hmmm -- almost forgot.... we may also bring along our two Fox Terriers (Teddy and Cholé) if they have their sea legs by then. Is the Bremerton Marina dog friendly and will there be other 4 legged friends about ?

Gil,
It is pet friendly and there will be one other four legged friend as far as we know. Not to say others will not bring theirs along.

Having just sold my R-25, I must withdraw Blue Bayou from the list of attendees. HOWEVER, those of you who would like to attend the Rendezvous, but don't have a TRAILER, do I have news for you !!!
The Purchaser of Blue Bayou did not want my one-year old boat trailer (Pacific manufacurer), so it's your chance to pick one up at half price. That's right, the retail value, new, one year ago, was about $7500. I'll take $3750 OBO.
Also, I am willing to deliver the trailer in the Pacific Northwest and California, by arrangement.
My E mail address is: ctk787@ gmail.com Charles, formerly on Blue Bayou
OH, and my trailer won't carry the R-29 I'm scheming on........

Aughhhhh!!!!!!! you sold your boat!!!!!!! How does life continue without a boat????? Good luck too you and the family!

Twenty confirmed and attending!

I see that I am in a special category, so I better confirm that Lobo (Dave and Lynne Trace) will be attending, God willing. We will cruise down via the north end of San Juan Island and through LaConner. This is a wonderful trip -- you should all follow me back to Victoria the same way for "Rendezvous 2".

Dave

Dave,
You are added to the confirmed list. When are you headed back north? Maureen and I as well as the Christina Bee are headed north after Rendezvous 1.....

What are your plans for going north? Do you harbor hop or pick up moorings and/or anchor. With all of the great little towns with great marina's, Maureen and I are going to harbor hop.

We normally prefer to stay out on the hook but on this cruise we are going to try something different. As you can see by the attached photo (taken on Lake Mohave this past weekend), the smaller the cove the better!

You are all making me so Jealous! Just two years ago we moved from Port Orchard, you can see my old house from the Bemerton Marina! If only we had known about Ranger Tugs back then we may never have moved. Perfect boat for the Puget Sound.

Have fun y'all!

Please put me on the confirmed list.

I do have a bit of a squirrely scheduled that weekend, though. I have to attend a three-hour fundraiser in Seattle from 6-9 p.m., Saturday so won't be able to chow down with the assembled Ranger masses that evening. But I plan to get there on Thursday (and leave Sunday or Monday) so I will have plenty of opportunity to get to meet everyone there.

JtheK

We plan to get to Bremerton on Thursday September 10th too. Can you add our names to those needing another night of reservations? We will also be available to help with getting the other boats to their spots on Friday. We're really looking forward to meeting all of the other tug owners!

Laurie of the Laurie Ann

All I can say is INCREDIBLE!

It all started out with John from the Laurie Ann throwing an idea out there way back in January too now what looks like may end up being 30+ vessels! This will have to be the biggest event to hit Bremerton City Marina since it has opened!

We have ordered enough food for sixty people! We may end up needing additional. We have also ordered goodie bags to commemorate the first PNW Rendezvous for the first 25 vessels to register. Unfortunately, we have run out of time to order additional...

Johiethek makes 22 confirmed attendees, that leaves three goodie bags.

Sparky, you and Mr Sparky needs to come and visit your old home town..... There is a Hampton Inn right at the marina and with this number of vessels, you don't need to have Starry Night with you. I am sure someone would be more than generous to let you party with them (more than likely 22 others....)

Darrell and Miss Dee, hope you can make it but we will all understand if you can't.

If you are confirmed to attend and don't have a photo album on Tugnuts, please email me a photo of your vessel at Davidbakermdbs@aol.com. I will need these no later than the 28th of August.

It is only three weeks until the first PNW Rendezvous in Bremerton! We currently have 22 vessels confirmed to attend. If those of you that are confirmed to attend could please shoot me a PM with your expected arrival day (some folks have expressed an interest in coming in on Thursday) as well as an estimate of the time of day; Morning, Mid Day, Afternoon, Evening, I will coordinate with the Marina.

We will be using the "inside" of the outer breakwater for the weekend. Water and electric are available. There is also an event tent as well as two very large BBQ's. The marina has restrooms with showers that are available to boaters.

As you are approaching the marina, call out for Solitude on VHF Channel 71. We will help direct and assist with catching docklines (no one will take offense if once on the dock, you retie your lines....). At this time, Solitude is planning a Thursday (Sept. 10th) afternoon arrival. I will be arriving by myself since Maureen will not fly in until either Thursday or Friday evening depending on her work schedule.

Andrew has arranged to have a Cummins and Yanmar rep at the event on Saturday. They will ride along with anyone that would care to have them aboard for the trip to Poulsbo and back. This will be a great opportunity to ask the rep's any questions concerning your vessels engine. (I say the Cummins guy is living life on the edge here......)

It appears that this event is shaping up to be a great weekend for all. Denny has already reached out with his invitation to assit in coordinating next years event in Port Ludlow!

1. We plan on motoring over Friday starting from Edmonds at around 9am (or there abouts). Not sure when that may get us to Bremerton.

2. How do we schedule the Yanmar persons onboard time ?

3. What if weather becomes really foul on Friday or any of the days we are together ? That is, will/can weather conditions pospone the Rendezvous, and if so, who makes that call ?

With regret, please scratch TWO IF BY SEA. We just completed the Inside Passage--Olympia-Skagway--and have our little gem on the hard. We have returned to Colorado to visit a friend who is ill.

Best wishes to all!

Norb and Ruth Hattendorf

Gill and Barry,
I have you down for a Friday arrival. Andrew is scheduling the Yanmar and Cummins people. As for the weather...... Let's keep our fingers crossed. Solitude and Christina Bee are both coming from a long way. I will actually arrive on Labor Day weekend but am having some service down on Solitude at Ranger Tugs while I have her in the area. I will launch her and head to Bremerton on Thursday.

Unless the weather gets really foul, I say we go. However, each skipper must make his or her own decision as to whether or not they proceed in inclement weather.

Norb and Ruth, sorry to hear you will not be able to make it. Would have loved to have heard about your trip. Were you trailering Two if by the Sea along the Turnagain arm headed toward Whittier in late may early June?
