Day 3 on our new Ranger Tug 31, we discovered the aft cabin mattress was wet near the foot of the bed. Found the rear air conditioner water tray was overflowing. To see if the drain hose was working properly, the dealership ran water through the drain hose from the sump end and it flowed into the air conditioner tray, indicating the hose is flowing fine.
The dealership said the air conditioner was improperly mounted by the factory and the water tray is incorrectly positioned lower than the drain outlet so water does not flow into the drain hose. They attempted to lift the water tray end of the air conditioner by driving a wedge under it.
The water tray is still overflowing. What now? We need that air conditioner to enjoy our new boat here in Florida!
