We are just returning from an almost four month cruise from Seattle to Skagway at the top of the inside passage. We also used the Douglass Guides and found them invaluable. We did find though that Douglass sometimes makes anchorages and passages sound more dire or treacherous than we actually found them. Also, they are evidently printed on an inkjet printer, so be careful not to splash your coffee (as I did) or handle with wet fingers or the print will smear. That said, they are wonderfully complete with amazing detail. Also, the Slowboat site has blogs of their cruises up the inside passage with descriptions of the anchorages and marinas where they stopped, along with dramatic photography. I downloaded pdf’s of these to my iPad for use offline and found them extremely helpful.
