Almost congratulations!
We have a 2017 R25SC, one year old now and 120 hours and love it. Of course every boat is a compromise but this one works well for us. I don't know whether you have made an offer on a cold weather version (Webasto heater) or the more tropical variety (a/c). Either will work on the Chesapeake, boated there for 20 years. Some comments will depend on that answer and most comments or suggestions can wait until you have the boat actually purchased. I know it's exciting and you want to get all the planning going 'right now' but best to not waste energy if it finally doesn't become reality.
A couple of things to check. Was the 6 month/50 hour inspection performed in a timely fashion? Volvo is keen on this. Did you get the extended warranty on the Volvo? We worked the extra warranty into the package when we bought, about a $3,000 item, to get full coverage for 5 years. Well worth it! If it's there, make sure it can and will be transferred. If the boat is less than 6 months old you may still be able to purchase. Take the engine serial number to your Volvo service guy and he will answer all these questions. Don't rely on the seller unless he is a Volvo service centre and can give you a printout. This bit is important!
We have made a couple of fixes and mods, some of which are in the album. When you have done the deal there are a couple of other pointers but nothing serious.
