My auto pilot seems to work well holding heading but whenever you change the heading by bumping up one or 2° it makes the turn if you bump it like 5° it rolls over like it’s got to do 180° turn and you have to disengage. I’ve been reading all the posts on the Garman auto pilot pump issues and I’m starting to wonder if this is an issue with mine I have no idea if the previous owners change the pump or not. If I do change how to change the pump am I better off biting the bullet and changing it to one of the Garman smart pumps or what’s in the boat. Right now it’s sitting in my backyard on the trailer so now’s the time to do it. next summer I’m looking at a trip up in the Canada if it ever opens up and I don’t wanna pump failure up there. Would love some input on this you guys are full of great advice can you help me every time I’ve asked and thank you to everybody
