Batteries

My 2016 C28 came with Centennial sealed acid batteries since new. Now, I want to buy the same batteries, but it seems impossible to purchase online and ship here to South Florida or find them locally. All group 27 marine batteries that I find have lower spec numbers than Centennials.

Can someone recommend a different brand/model that worked for you?

Hi, just replaced all 4 of my house batteries, got them on amazon shipped to my door, exact same as what my 31 came with. Universal power group UB121100. Check them out, just google the name.

Deka Batteries, made in USA by East Penn Manufacturing. Deka batteries ,maintenance free have the same specifications as the maintenance free Centennial Batteries. Lowes sells Deka.

Deka Marine Master group 27 deep cycle has 575 cold cranking amps while centennial has 710. This battery will start generator, so don’t know if it is ok to reduce CCA.

For the engine the Centennial factory installed was 840 CCA and 1050 MCA. That battery was not a duel purpose battery cranking battery. The rest of the batteries installed by factory were deep cycle 710 CCA 890MCA (thruster and house). The Deka Group 27 cranking marine battery is 1050 MCA and 840 CCA. The Deka duel purpose deep cycle 650 CCA 800 MCA. The Deka duel purpose is slightly less CCA than the Centennial deep cycle.
