My Centennial GENERATOR/THRUSTERS battery is dead and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement with exact same specs. Centennial batteries are not easy to find and/or shipping is very expensive.

Any suggestions for brand and models?

Thanks.

You need to match chemistry - so AGM vs wet cell. but as the thruster is separated from the others electrically (pretty sure but you should check) you can replace this one separately from the others as long as you keep chemistry the same. (the reason for the same chemistry is the charger can only charge one type of chemistry at a time.)

For any batteries that are paired/connected to each other such as house and engine, these should be the same type and spec.

if however the other batteries are close to failing. you might want to replace all at the same time.

I can't see what type of centennial batteries you have. whats the model number?

From what I can see of the picture it is a standard maintenance free battery. This is similar to a flooded battery. Best to stay with the maintenance free because the setting for maintenance free and flooded may be different on the charger. Check your charger setting to see what settings are available. How old are your batteries? If they are over four years old you may want to do a load test on them to see how good they are. If they are marginal then replacing them all with a totally different type will work. Many tuggers like AGM if you also like spending up to $275 per battery. There are those of us that are fine with flooded at $90 per battery. The engine battery is best if it is a cranking type, but dual purpose will serve you fine as well. The flooded are available usually at any Walmart.

I just purchased two new batteries (thruster and engine start) from Sam for $ 160.00 each which included a 20 discount. They are Duracell AGM Group 31. https://www.samsclub.com/sams/duracell- ... t1&veh=sem
I'll be buying the other 4 durring the month so I can get the discount again.

good price. Those look like AGM's from Sam's which is different to tatowebs

The 27MF is a "standard" group 27 battery - available as a 27DC from WALMARTS for about $89 or as a maintenance free version of the 27DC - exactly the same as a 27MF for about $95.

Walmart warrants for one or two years depending on what you pay - they last me about 3 years and I just replace them, although I've never had one fail.

The high price spread batteries may last longer, but for the money, the Walmarts are the best price-performer.

There is a core charge so bring your old ones with you when you shop.

Last time I visited Walmarts, they had Group 31 DC on sale for $78 - about the same size, 15 more Amp Hours and the same warranty.

I buy 27DC and if they ever need water, I fix whatever caused the water to be used and buy new batteries. Normally, they just get to the add water line at 3 years when everything is working OK.
