Belts/forward bilge pump C30

Hi

Does anyone know how you get access to the front of the engine and the forward bilge pump / high water alarm on the c30? Do you have to pull the monkey fur lined panel off in the cave? If so, does anyone know how to do it? I’d post some photos but I don’t know how!

Hi Simon,

If you going inside the cabin and open the hatch on the floor there is an access panel on the aft wall you can remove to get to the front of the motor and bilge pump/ float.

Thanks Kenny. I guess you have to remove the water pump and the Webasco heater to get that panel off? What do you do with the soundproofing material? It seems like it is all in one piece?

I have also scratched my head on getting to the forward engine bilge, I cant even see it..... The small cover on the front inside is only large enough to add coolant, not large enough for any real access. does anyone have a picture on accessing the front of the engine?

Hi Simon,

Correct, you'll remove both of those units then the sound foam you peal back from one corner and reinstall when you put everything back together.
