The shift cable on my 2010 25SC broke a few days ago. Knotflying was aboard and he manually shifted the transmission back to the dock. We replaced the cable with a Seastar Xtreme CCX63320 20'. This cable will take a 4" radius bend, others are limited to 8". The original cable broke as it had a very sharp bend in it. The original was 19', we extended it a foot to relax the bend. Replacement went very smooth taping the new one to the old one and pulling it through the interior of the boat to the helm.
Check your shift cables, any sharp bends will lead to failure at the worst time.
